As part of our rapid expansion, we’re looking for an experienced, skilled Compliance Support Manager to assist our marketing and creative departments, ensuring our digital marketing strategies, campaigns, and internal processes meet applicable legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. You’ll work closely with our marketing, creative and data teams to proactively manage compliance risks; without slowing down creativity or growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring all marketing communications, product claims and brand messaging, in both the lead generation and beauty e-commerce sectors, abide by the highest standards of compliance.
- Reviewing digital marketing campaigns, landing pages, email marketing, influencer content, and paid media for compliance risks.
- Reviewing both physical and digital assets to ensure compliance with ASA, CAP and BCAP codes.
- Staying informed with changes to ASA and legal guidelines concerning compliance, and relaying that to the rest of the team.
- Keeping an in-depth audit trail of compliance updates and adhesion to requests from clients and externals to amend our work.
- Developing an in-house compliance checklist and SOPs, updating them when needed and distributing them to both staff and external partners.
- Monitor live campaigns, conducting thorough due diligence on a routine basis, and reporting any potential compliance and marketing concerns to the relevant team members.
- Develop and deliver compliance training for marketing, creative, and account teams.
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification in law, marketing, data-protection or in a similar field
- One or more of the following certifications:
- IAPP CIPP/E or CIPM
- BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection
- PDP Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (PC.dp.)
- GDPR Practitioner
- Experience working with and understanding the work and practice of the ICO, as well as PECR and GDPR regulations.
- At least 2 years experience in a compliance, marketing, or regulatory role, preferably in a marketing agency or law firm.
- An excellent eye for detail, as well as a strong grasp of the English language and legal terminology.
