About the job

Join KuCoin EU and lead our compliance function as we build trusted, regulation-first crypto infrastructure for Europe.

As Head of Compliance, you’ll own KuCoin EU’s compliance framework end-to-end, ensuring alignment with EU regulatory requirements including MiCAR, MiFID II, AMLD5, and GDPR. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, Legal, Risk, AML, and Global Compliance teams to design and operate a robust control environment that supports both regulatory excellence and business growth.

You’ll act as a key interface with regulators such as the Austrian Financial Market Authority, oversee internal policies and governance frameworks, and drive continuous improvements across monitoring, controls, and reporting. This is a senior, hands-on role with real ownership in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment.

What makes You special

• You bring proven leadership experience in Compliance within financial services, fintech, or crypto environments
• You have strong knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks including MiCAR, MiFID II, AMLD5, and GDPR
• You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and are comfortable owning both framework design and day-to-day compliance operations
• You have experience building or scaling compliance programs, policies, and internal control frameworks
• You’re confident engaging with regulators and advising senior stakeholders on regulatory and compliance risk
• You communicate clearly and pragmatically, translating complex regulatory topics into actionable business guidance
• You thrive in fast-paced, international environments and enjoy working cross-functionally
• You’re legally able to work full-time in Vienna, Austria
