As Senior Compliance Manager, you will support KuCoin EU's Head of Compliance in the governance and oversight of the compliance function.

This role suits someone who enjoys thinking strategically about compliance and building processes that translate regulatory requirements into effective frameworks and controls. It also offers the opportunity to grow into broader responsibilities over time as the compliance function continues to expand.

Your responsibilities across the compliance lifecycle:

• Horizon scanning: Track regulatory developments and provide input on their impact on KuCoi EU's business model
• Framework & policies: Translate regulatory requirements into a practical written compliance framework, including policies, procedures, and governance documents.
• Risk & controls: Perform the compliance risk assessment and ensure that risks are mitigated through effective controls and governance processes.
• Compliance Stakeholder Management: dealing with inquiries from/work with, i.e. Internal, external audits, business partners, regulators, etc
• Monitoring & testing: Execute the compliance monitoring program through reviews and thematic checks.
• Reporting & committees: Help develop and prepare compliance MI, dashboards, and materials for management and board committees.
• Culture & awareness: Deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives across the company.

Other responsibilities include

• Contribute to outsourcing/vendor governance (due diligence, registers, ongoing monitoring).
• Assist in compliance aspects of the asset listing process, ensuring due diligence and governance standards.

Your profile:

• University degree in law, economics, finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or internal control functions (financial services or crypto experience is an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of European and Austrian regulatory frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and an interest in building effective compliance processes.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to balance operational tasks with strategic input.
