Solidus is looking for data engineers with to help take our already running product and infrastructure to the next level and respond to intensifying client demand. This is a full time development position, and we are looking for inspired builders who can help us advance our ambitious vision and grow with the company. A strong candidate should be confident in her or his ability to commit pristine code on tight deadlines, corresponding with constantly evolving needs dictated by an extremely dynamic space.


  • Play a key role in architecting the Big Data Platform to handle storage of very large datasets, design pipelines, and business metrics to scale with growing trading volumes

  • Build disruptive solutions using cutting edge technologies with measurable commercial outcomes

  • Develop technical specifications, high level/detailed design, testing strategies, and implementation plans from business requirements

  • Manage end-to-end systems development cycle from requirements analysis, coding, testing, UAT and maintenance

  • Work in a fast paced environment


  • Experience with Python (Numpy, Pandas)

  • Experience with Java or Scala or Go or C++

  • Experience with microservices architecture, building REST APIs

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)  

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes

  • Experience with Relational database systems like Sybase, SQL Server, Postgres, etc.

  • Experience with NoSQL databases like HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.

  • Experience with Big Data tools: Hadoop, Pig, Hive, Hue, etc.

  • Experience with stream-processing systems: Kafka, Storm, Spark-Streaming, Elasticsearch

  • Experience with KDB+ and Q is a major plus

  • Experience with encryption and security a major plus

  • Working knowledge of integrating visualization tools like Tableau, QlikView, etc. is a plus

  • Experience with data-science tools / workbench like Dataiku, Jupyter, RapidMiner, etc. is a plus
