The Position

Solidus Labs is hiring a dynamic Regulatory Research Associate, to lead our regulatory research efforts and help scale our regulatory affairs effort. The Regulatory Research Associate will report to our Vice President of Regulatory Affairs while also working closely with sales, product and marketing teams.

We are looking for proven experience and just as importantly, for passion, hustle-eagerness and a desire to grow with the company and learn whatever it takes to get results. A successful Regulatory Research Associate will be a prime candidate for promotion and growth within the company.

The Regulatory Research Associate will act as both the brain and engine of Solidus’ intensifying regulatory research effort. She or he will be required to plan and execute a research approach that will produce sales collateral and insights to support our strategic and sales objectives on relatively tight timelines. In addition to owning research activities, the Regulatory Research Associate will play an integral role in executing Solidus Labs’ regulatory strategy, including but not limited to producing sales collateral, engaging with regulators, tracking enforcement activities and regulatory developments, and working with industry partners on thought leadership in appropriate regulatory frameworks for digital asset market surveillance.

Required skills

  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience working in financial services preferably in the legislative or executive branches of government or for a financial institution or association tracking legislative or regulatory activity.
  • Knowledge of financial regulation, compliance and enforcement in the United States and other major economies, preferably in securities, commodities, or digital asset regulation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pluses for Skills and Experience

  • Legal and/or policy background.
  • Network of staff among financial regulators, policymakers and industry regulatory professionals.
  • Experience customizing and using customer relationship management, project management, and research tools, such as Hubspot, Asana, etc.
  • Experience working for a scale-stage startup and/or ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a lot of moving targets.
  • Audacity to propose big, almost-too-ambitious, ideas and execute them.
